Sponge Cake

Soft yummy Cake

Eggs 2
Butter or Refined oil 3/4 cup
Sugar 1 cup
All purpose flour 1 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 tsp
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder 1tsp
Lemon Yellow colour (optional)
Vanilla Essence 1/2 to 1 tsp according to the strongness of essence.
Nuts of choice.


Beat the eggs till light and fluffy, Add sugar and beat well.then add melted butter or oil and milk.mix thoroughly.add the colour and essence.

Sieve Flour(maida), salt and baking powder and soda and now fold in maida little by little until it is mixed nicely and smoothly.

Preheat the oven for 10 minutes.

Grease the baking cake tin and pour the cake batter, add nuts of your choice and bake at 180 degree C for 25-30 minutes or until done.Check with toothpick or clean knife.If its comes out clean.

Its done enjoy with tea or coffee.
