Home Made Charga yummy Licious Recipe Shared By Juveria Jabeen Zubair

Whole Chicken 2 kg
Ginger Garlic paste 3 tbsp
Cumin Powder 1/2 tbsp
Salt 2 tsp
Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
All Spice/Garam masala powder 1 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice 4 tbsp
Food Color  Red or Orange 1/2 tsp
Curd 1/2 Cup
Oil For Frying

Thoroughly wash the chicken and make cuts on either side. Rub with lemon juice from inside as well as outside.

In a big bowl add curd and all the spices and food color mix well and apply this marinade on the chicken and with the remaining marinade, Marinate the chicken for 3 to 4 hours in the fridge.

After the shake off excess marinade and deep fry, the chicken from all the sides by turning it after the side is light golden brown in color.

In a pot place the fried charga and remaining marinade add 2 to 3 tbsp of oil ( I used the same oil which I fried the chicken) cover and cook on slow flame till thoroughly cooked (turning the chicken once).
Nearly 20-25 minutes... Enjoy the charga with Naan ki Roti yummy...
